What is Adult Day Care?
Adult day care at Right Choice Adult Care & Activity Center offers a safe, positive, caring alternative to nursing home care for those who do not need 24-hour skilled nursing. The programs are designed to help people stay mentally and physically active, reduce isolation, improve their health, and prevent decline of their abilities.
How much does adult day care cost and who pays?
We are flexible in offering different payment methods. We accept private pay as well as long-term care insurance. We also accept Medicaid long-term waivers which will cover the full cost of services at our center. If needed, our staff will work with you to decide the best payment option.
Can my family schedule an initial visit to your center?
Yes, we love to host family members and show them why our adult day care and activity center is the right choice for their loved one. We do recommend making an appointment, and the best times are from 10am – noon or 1pm – 2pm, Monday through Friday. Will Right Choice Adult Care & Activity Center accept people with cognitive impairments?
Right Choice Adult Care & Activity Center is a compassionate adult day care environment, which allows adults and seniors with physical, neurological and cognitive impairments to participate in their daily activities. Studies have shown that adult day care programs are the best approach for not only the caregiver but the person living with these conditions and disorders.
Can a person with a walker or wheelchair attend the center?
Many of our adult day care participants use walkers or canes, so your loved one will feel right at home. We welcome those confined to a wheelchair as well.
What therapies or medical services do you offer seniors?
We offer many activities at our adult day care which will incorporate range of motion. Daily activities include several games where we incorporate the use of the mind. We focus on building a day with various activities to help work with your loved one's needs. If any skilled needs are required for our clients, we have a nurse available to assist clients with diabetic injections or any other type of skilled nursing that is needed.
Do you offer transportation to and from the center?
Our friendly Right Choice van transports clients within a 15 mile radius of the center for a set fee based on miles. Please contact us for specific cost depending on pickup area. The Right Choice van also accommodates various wheelchairs.
How can a person get to the center that does not live within the 15 mile pickup area?
Long-term care Medicaid covers the full cost of transportation to the center from any area or county.
